Today, we recommend a "enhanced coupled biofilm reactor wastewater treatment technology", which has a good treatment effect for the purification and maintenance of river water, and provides strong technical support for the treatment of black and smelly river and water purification of river lakes and basins in China.
Technical Name:
Enhanced Coupled Biofilm Reactor wastewater Treatment Technology (EHBR)
Technical Description:
The invention relates to a new water treatment technology which organically integrates gas separation membrane technology and biofilm water treatment technology.EHBR process uses hollow fiber aeration membrane as the carrier of microbial membrane attachment and aeration for biofilm and water body. When sewage flows around the aeration membrane attached to biofilm, pollutants in water body enter the biofilm under the action of concentration difference drive and microbial adsorption, and are utilized by microorganisms through biological metabolism and proliferation. The pollutants in the water body can be assimilated into microorganism and fixed on the biofilm or decomposed into inorganic metabolites, thus achieving the purification process of the water body.
Technical advantages:
1. Advantages of microbial attachment growth
The main functional layer in EHBR technology is the biofilm attached to the surface of the aeration membrane, which is mainly composed of microorganisms and extracellular polymers, including bacteria, fungi, algae, protozoa and metazoa. As an attached growing wastewater treatment technology, biofilms have special biofilm structure, complex biome and long food chain, which bring special advantages to EHBR.
EHBR technology has a long SRT, and higher organisms can survive and reproduce. Protozoa and metazoa usually feed on microorganisms, which can effectively control the thickness of biofilm, reduce the generation of activated sludge and reduce the sludge yield. At the same time, the high content of extracellular polymer (EPS) in biofilm can avoid the expansion of filamentous bacteria, and the sludge settling performance is good, and it is easy for solid-liquid separation. Therefore, even if biofilm shedding occurs during operation, it can be removed by simple sedimentation process to ensure effluent quality.
2. Advantages of EHBR aeration mode
The traditional aerobic biological wastewater treatment process generally adopts blast aeration and mechanical aeration, the former is to use the immersion porous diffuser or air nozzle to pass air or pure oxygen into the sewage, the latter is to use the mechanical equipment agitation to dissolve the air in the atmosphere into the sewage. However, the above aeration method produces large bubbles and rises quickly in water, with oxygen transfer efficiency generally lower than 20%, high energy loss and high operating costs, which account for 60% to 80% of the total operating costs. Therefore, improving aeration efficiency and reducing treatment energy consumption have always been the focus of attention in wastewater aerobic biological treatment. It is of great practical significance to study advanced aeration equipment and process.
The reverse transfer of oxygen and substrate in EHBR makes the concentration distribution of oxygen and organic matter different from that of traditional bioreactor (biological aerated filter, biological rotary table, biological contact oxidation, etc.).Due to the special bidirectional transfer mechanism of oxygen and substrate and biological stratification structure of EHBR, many microorganisms with different habits and living environments can coexist in EHBR, and simultaneously play the role of removing organic matter, phosphorus and nitrogen.
Collectively, these microorganisms include common heterotrophic aerobic bacteria, nitrifying bacteria, nitrifying bacteria, denitrifying bacteria, and phosphorous accumulating bacteria.
When EHBR treated wastewater containing organic matter and ammonia nitrogen, the concentration of dissolved oxygen in the bottom layer of biofilm adjacent to the permeable membrane was the largest, which was the aerobic layer, and nitrifying bacteria and nitrifying bacteria were the main autotrophic bacteria.Due to the limitation of diffusion and degradation of the outer biofilm, the concentration of organic matter with higher molecular weight is greatly reduced when it reaches the deep layer of the biofilm, so nitrification is suitable for the inner layer. The intermediate layer is dominated by aerobic heterotrophic bacteria and denitrifying bacteria with low DO. Sufficient organic carbon sources and nitrifying products meet the needs of denitrification. The outermost layers are facultative aerobic bacteria and anaerobic bacteria.

Tianjin High-tech Zone Haitai North and South Street river purification project
Project Name: River Purification Project of North and South Haitai Street, Tianjin High-tech Zone
Application Technology: Enhanced coupled biofilm reactor (EHBR)
Project scale: The river is 1700m long, 15m wide and 1.5-1.7m deep
Location: North and South Haitai Street, High-tech Zone, Tianjin city
Application time: June 2014
Project Introduction: This project applies EHBR technology and adopts the combined process of "Aquatic EHBR water purification system + mobile floating island EHBR water purification system", that is, aquatic EHBR membrane components are placed in horizontal rows in the river and arranged successively in the 1.7km length river;Secondly, mobile floating island membrane modules are inserted into the aquatic EHBR membrane modules to promote the water body while aerating oxygen and microbial degradation. The combination of the two processes gradually repaired the self-purification capacity of water body, solved the eutrophication problem of water body, and significantly improved the water body both in terms of sensory and water quality.
